Rocky Mountain Natural Building Conference

Vernacular architecture can take many forms, but all adhere to basic green architectural principles of energy efficiency and utilizing local materials and resources. This presentation is an introduction to the oldest newest source of innovation: Biomimicry. By asking the question "what would nature do?" any design problem can be solved, since nature has been practicing for 3.8 billion years. This session will consist of an overview of biomimicry including its definition and evolution as a design methodology while also showcasing real-life examples that will spark the imagination as to what the future could be like.

United States Green Building Council: Rocky Mountain Green Conference

2017 marks the 10th year USGBC Colorado has hosted Rocky Mountain Green. This conference is the largest green building conference and most premier in the region. By bringing together various stakeholders, superb educational sessions and inspiring speakers, Rocky Mountain Green pushes the green building industry to think above and beyond the standard and take action to push sustainability into the future. This two-day conference hosts offsite workshops and activities, as well as the traditional conference with keynote speakers, breakout sessions and exhibitors.
