Drawing on 3.8 billion years of R&D, biomimicry, which is the conscious emulation of nature's genius, not only teaches us how to design more efficient buildings but can also mentor us on how to work better with others inside and outside of the discipline.

This session showcases innovative biomimetic tools and discusses how architects can bring scientists to the design table by creating our own collaborative relationships. During this webinar you will get an overview of biomimicry, explore different types of relationships found in nature, and show how these types of relationships are also found within human interactions, to the benefit or detriment of design.

 Attendees will learn:
How to include non-traditional resources such as the science community in the traditional design process and demonstrate how that will broaden the potential solution space.
How new architectural tools that bring biome-specific abstracted design principles to anyone’s fingertips.
About a couple case-study projects where these were combined to solve real design challenges.
